Unnaturally Aspirated

Hello, HAMBones.

I keep bumping into useful information from this board (BTW, thanks for that), so I thought I'd join. Probably won't make much noise here because the older I get, the more my ignorance reveals itself to me.

Currently own no hot rods, a couple of painfully generic hatchbacks, and a '54 high-hood CJ. It's mostly stock but for 12V, Warn period o.d. and a Bestop. Formerly owned a six-volt, '54 Chevy 3100 with a lightly tweaked engine.

Most of my "hot rods" have been bikes, including a bobbed '52 Beeza with ****** headers, flat-track framer with a 'lectric start Rotax, hardtail T-100 Trumpet, cafe Guzzi T3, and other such foolishness. Physical issues caught up with me (laundry list will not be included), and now I'm becoming mildly obsessed with finding a flathead Ford that I can sit behind.

I am not the world's worst mechanic, but I'm pretty dang close. Might not be curable, but I'm working on it.
