Hey all, has anyone had experience air bagging a '46-'48 Chevy p***enger car? I am stuck on the rear end suspension, whether a 4-link kit would be the way to go. If so, where can I get something that will closely fit my ride? The front end is a Mustang II IFS from TCI. Thanks, Aeroman
What rear end you running? If you're running the stock torque tube you can get away with a 2 link in the rear with a panhard bar, that's what I'm doing on my '54 chevy. If you're gonna run an open drive line then a 4 link is the way to go, maybe run the bags over the rear axle.
I agree that 4 link is the way to go. The kit my dad got for his 47 coupe was from ch***is engineering.
When I put my 48 Fleetline on bags I just made everything for mine to fit. I run a triangulated 4 bar set up. And the way I have it set up there is only 1 to 1 1/2 degrees differencs in the pinion angle for the complete travel. They way I have it set up I can crush a pop can down to about 1 1/2" tall.
Do you have anymore build pictures? I'm trying to setup a triangulated 4link and bags on my 46 fleetline now, thanks in advance
