    Hi all
I need to get my sons 61 Chevy Wagon off my trailer (no rearend).
If I recall correctly, my 1963 Pontiac rear is a bolt up, except it has two, instead of 1 half links. Any thoughts?

  2. No. Not even close, unless of course you are in Canada.
No need to get into that it's too wide and 5 inch bolt pattern. Oh, the driveshaft and U joint won't fit either.

Need to pick the backend up with a cherry picker, boom pole on a tractor, hoist tied to a big tree limb etc and drive out from under it while front tires role, then let it down on supports

Like some shop manuals are good for saying "reverse for ***embly".
May have to rent a fork lift though!

No, not a bolt-in swap. Different ch***is, different widths, different mounts, different bolt pattern. Get the idea this is not a bolt-in?

    Cool Thanks for the input
My intent was to roll the wagon off the trailer. Not do a permanent install
Thanks for the info. I was at a buds 6 or 8 years ago, he did it, but I've lost track of him and what all he had to do.
All I remember is he had to put another upper link arm, as the chev has one, the poncho has two.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to my question.
I was just trying to get my trailer back. Was hoping for an easy solution.

That's always an option, but puts a cork in the road.
Just tired of waiting on my kid to buy his rearend (6 months) . And I have lots of Poncho.
    Happy Trails...

  13. Look at it
If all your looking to do is tool the car off your trailer,
Just about anything can be made to fit with some long u-bolts a few bits of 2x4 and some macgyvering !

  14. ****, even a trailer axle would work!
I moved my 50 Chevy around ar one point with the rear end out on axle stands set on moving dollies!

How high or steep is your trailer?
Can’t move it with a floor jar back there somewhere?

  15. Got the picture here now. But, seeing the Chev has the springs on the trailing arms, wouldn't it be easier to just rig up some small , hard wheels and bolt them to the arms?
