Just wanted to do a roll call to see how many live in the mid tn area. We should all try to get together some time. I'd really like to see some of the cars you're driving (in person) and get some inspiration to finish my 1940 plymouth business coupe.
I'm in White House, Several other guys from the Poor Boys car club are Hambers, 'Jalopy43' is from Spring Hill, 'Primer is Paint' from Murfeesboro, 'Jstorm' from Nolensville, and the famous 'Earl Schieb' from Hartsville. I also just met 'Born too Late' from here in White House too. I'm all for a local get together, just say the word. We'll all be at the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green June 2nd, so look us up.
You guys must have forgot about me. ...I am about an hour and a half from Nashville though. Monterey, TN.....
I live an hour south of nashville. the 2nd annual cavalcade of antique cars is in lawrencburg on june 10. www.lcccc.com this is a nice drive through lawerence co. starting at teitgens superama, cars joining in along the way, and winding up at st joe park for a little fun. about 200 cars last year. good food, music, went last year, had a blast......sparky, did i see you the other day dressed in purple ?
I am in Murfreesboro. I went to the cruise in in the boro last friday in my 31 ford roadster even though I'm not real fond of the murfreesboro hot rod club that puts it on. Those guys are all paint jobs and check books. I'd love to get some hambers together to roll in there and stake out a spot.
I'll work on putting a meet/slash show together. I am the owner of a manufacturing company called NextGear, and we are planning a meet for July 30, 2006. Scheduled to be at the Coliseum (Titans Stadium). Right now the plan is to have a wide variety of cars ranging from sport compacts all the way to traditional rods. It would be great if some of the local/regional Hambers could come. We're hoping to get 400-600 cars out in total. Plans for a swap meet and other activities. I'll provide some more details if anyone is interested.
most of middle tn is just a short hop over monteagle mountain for me. i wouldve really had like to gone to the Cumberland run this year, but some other personal stuff came up. maybe we can all say howdies at dixie starlight this year.
