Ok, so a disclaimer right off the bat. I am not an audio guy. I am not an electrical engineer. I am kind of a big dummy.

A few years back Ryan had an awesome thread on hooking up a blue tooth in an old car. I want to do this with my 56 F-100...but I have a feeling a lot of the stuff he used is probably outdated? It seems every few months anymore, technology evolves. So- this thread is asking for help. Using todays equipment available, and having want no radio head in my dash, what is the best way to do this? Truck is 12V and has a generator (not that I think that matters) and basically stock electrical wise. I will probably have two speakers under the seat? I want all of this hidden, no speakers or anything visible in any side panels. And I will be using an Iphone to provide the tunes. I wouldn't mind a cord hookup, maybe it could charge the devise as well?

Does anyone have any recommendations on parts I need and how to hook them up? Or know where to go to learn? There is so much info out there, it is kind of overwhelming. And remember, I really know nothing about this, but feel I can tackle it if guided...

    Thank you...

Chris are you going modern on us...:(...Just kidding...:D. There is a couple of threads kicking around post what you were talking of. @Bandit Billy did something in his roadster fairly modern...at 90 plus decibels of rumble I don't even consider it...I just have Bluepipes...:D

Whats super cool these days is it can all be hidden.

I put one of those (out of sight audio) in a slightly OT Chevelle a couple of years ago and it worked just fine. I used the instructions so the stock radio turned it off and on and did the volume, but everything else went through the phone. It didn't sound that great running a single 6x9 in the package tray, but it worked.
If you're just looking for tunes, one of the simple bluetooth speakers sitting on the seat or dash would work. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-SoundCore-Playtime-Bluetooth-Portable/dp/B016XTADG2/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1BMI100HCJY0R&keywords=bluetooth+speakers&qid=1547842241&sprefix=blue,aps,192&sr=8-4 I use one in the shop every day and you could wire up a charger for it and leave it in the glovebox.

I'm using a guy who comes to Donut Derelicts named Jeffery who specializes in Auto Electrical and radio up grades. Yesterday I brought him my 56 Victoria radio which he is going to upgrade to AM/FM and Blue Tooth. I've seen his work on 40-50's radios and it's fantastic. He will build what you need/want. I have Sirius in my newer pickup and can ad an app to my I-phone and listen anything on what I can find an app for even local AM/FM stations and the apps are free. It will charge my phone but I usually use my cigar lighter with an adapter for that.
He's NOT inexpensive and uses only the newest available equipment.

Easiest and most inexpensive way is to store your tunes on your Iphone and play them on a Blue Tooth speaker.

I just put this little amp under the dash with a jack under the lip of the dash.....nothing sticking below the dash.3.5 jack to hook up to phone or Sirius, 12v power source under the front seat to recharge when needed (or to power anything else). Speakers were already in kick panels when I bought the truck. Here is a link to store his e-bay store....check through all the stuff, something should work for you and is reasonable https://www.ebay.com/itm/233090756841?ViewItem=&item=233090756841&category=0&ssPageName=ADME:B:SEMK:US:SHOWI&emailtemplateid=142599114&sellerid=FpRekKD1aqBYV88H**GayQ==&buyerid=FpRekKD1aqCg6/NtAq2oQg==&refid= IMG_0636.JPG

I really like that interior. That's all, the guys seem to have you covered in the audio department.
