    In 1929 GM NZ sold Canadian Chevrolets [there were tax advantages in buying them from another British commonwealth country]

    It was the 1931 Monte Carlo rally, and the car is a Graham Paige

    When you factor in the time it took to get the car over to Europe , and it probably didn't leave the factory and go straight to the finish line at the Monte , so it is highly probable that the car was a couple of years old in that photo
    [it looks like a 1929 "model 837" ]
