Hi everyone I'm new here.I want to build a FED preferably a dragmaster .No plans exist for these cars been searching for a week no luck just pictures.Does anyone on here own a dragmaster ? Are there any in nky or greater Cincinnati/tri state area? If anyone can help I would appreciate it thanks
One of our HAMB guys ( Frank Morawski ) owns a 1961 Dragmaster ch***is. I got to help with the restoration and history collection. It was restored to the way Roland Leong had the car in 1964. The link below has a lot of the restoration and detail photos. It might help you https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/one-more-for-frank-morawski-updated.616190/
Dave Huber has one... He's in Louisville. Think Mike Roth has one in indy. Not sure if any are in cincy area
Mark, a Dragmaster built as per the originals will not p*** tech at any level. One of the main problems is that the lower frame rail is not contiguous (there is a gap under the rear end housing). My mate Mike Roth that Brandon mentioned has a big collection of front motor cars (7 at last count) he does not have a Dragmaster--the one that he was involved with was Dave Dupps re-creation of the Pete Robinson Indy winner. I have not seen my mate Kerry here on the HAMB for a while but he had a thread on his build of a Dragmaster style car a few years back and that car was legal (and fun to drive ). Roo
Thanks Rooman .Was that how Dode Martin got the trainer to p*** tech? And that what I'm after legal / fun plus having a dragmaster in my garage!
Has to tilt his head to even get his head to fit inside the cage for one , driver too exposed and running a BS track with steel armco, and what was that flying off the car towards the end of the video--- oil or breather cap???
Many of ch***is in this thread! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/dragster-frames-picture-thread.230419/
This is Mokan, where they welcome old race cars. How many tracks in California love to have old cars run on em?
That's pretty good. A state with 40 million people has three "outlaw" tracks. And a website with 300,000 members has one track. Maybe you should visit this year and see how much fun this old track really is.
I may have found a way to get a hold of the guy that owned heritage ch***is? Norm Anderson built these cars in the 90s ? I'll find out tomorrow
