    Hello all,

Ive got a leaking coolant crossover gasket that is a real PITA to change.
I only need this car for a month, thinking of slathering where its leaking with JB weld and hoping for the best.

    Thoughts?

I don’t really think you’ll have much luck fixing it that way. Maybe try some bars leak in the cooling system. But, if it’s leaking that bad replacing the gaskets on the crossover is probably what it will take to stop the leak.

Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.

  3. If you use jb weld consider any kind of proper repair null and void.

    Try using silicon.

    Is this an O/T car?
Post a pic of the offending leak.

If you don’t care and it’s a temp fix on a beater then try it

I've had excellent permanent results with J-B Weld when everything is clean, clean, clean, and within the recommended operating temps. If not, the results have gone downhill from there. Without seeing the conditions I doubt the J-B will work for you but I have been wrong before.

Did you try it and how did it work out for you?
