I’m having trouble finding the lower patch repair panel for my 34 truck grille. I’m in need for. The lower outside radius as well as the inner pan. Any help is appreciated.

If it doesnt have to be exact, maybe buy one of those super cheap repro 32 car shells and use the bottom off it. Im sure it will need some slicing/dicing to make fit, but it probably is way easier than fabbing something from flat sheet.

I know someone makes the outter chin piece because I needed to do the same repair. I just don’t remember who. May have seen them on eBay or Howell’s might have them. For what you get I thought they were a little expensive. I made my own, a Shriner helps. Good luck.

I have been brainstorming the best way to repair it and it being heavily pin holed and so thin. I also don’t have the metal fab tools to shape the lower chin. So I guess I was seeing is anyone else had a hack or tricks. I did find this on that action site but they refunded payment for some reason.

sandblast a chunk of conduit, bend it, weld it in then cut away the inside you don't need with a wizzer, extend and weld your teeth to the conduit... my $0.02.

One of these Shriners? Not sure unless they're also metal smiths. A shrinker, might come in handy, though. :)[IMG]

  9. If the main shape is still there, you could lead it like in the old days.
