I have 3x2 carb set-up and I am getting poor throttle response, I just got a new ma** distributor and still getting poor response. I'm going to replace the advance springs to medium silver, black in there now. My end carbs are sealed it is all running good just not right. Thanks for any help
More details. Engine type, carb type, fuel pump, linkage type, filters, regulators, air cleaners, pics?
When I hear poor throttle response I think of accelerator jets in the carburetor. Have you looked to see that you are getting a squirt of gas when you press the pedal? Of course do it when the vehicle is not running. Also put your general location in your profile, you can never tell when it will pay off. Welcome to the HAMB. Charlie Stephens
Engine? Cam? Intake? Carbs? Linkage ( progressive or not)? Distributor? Vacuum readings? Compression ration? Compression test done? New fuel tank and lines? Mechanical or electric fuel pump? Fuel pressure? What colour are your underwares? What you eat for lunch? Any pictures of this ? We like pictures !!
Another thing that was missed. Did the problem always exist or is it new and if it is new what was the last thing you did before the problem started? Charlie Stephens
It's not uncommon for electrical problems to turn out being a fuel problem. More details please. -Dave
I thank you all for your input but I will figure it out, right now I have a fuel leak more important to fix now. I am from Florida, and it is a new problem, I bought a 3x2 online the outer carbs were not sealed, I bought some Dag 213 from pontiac tri-power now sealed. I will get a pic someday. Again Thanks triple nuts,I love ya all. I hole saw my hood stuck with them now but worth it. Life is Good
