  6. I used a flake buster gun and did dry flake usually I use a 2.0 or bigger

    I have never understood custom painting just the roof, and leaving the rest of the car looking like crap or in satin paint. Just my opinion, and your roof looks great.

    It's so much easier than doing the whole car...not likely to get runs, sags, etc on the roof, and you don't have to "match up" with the paint on other panels.

    The whole car looks kind of weird, but hey, it's not mine.

    Is that base/clear, or lacquer? Watched my dad heavy flake a car in 1980 with lacquer clear, and the lacquer dried so fast it suspended the flakes in all directions and non hardly laid flat. The light reflection of that car was insane. Rougher that 36 grit floorsanding paper though. I took several, several coats of clear and blocking to get a flat surface to polish. Looked like a Ranger bass boat.
