Hey I snapped this photo at paso and am now kickin my own *** for not takin anymore!! Is the owner a HAMB'r?? more pics??? thanks JG
Now im gonna sound like an ***hole, but i mean this as constructive critic, i think that car would look better in one colour, but it looks better then anything i could build now too, infact, very cool!
Joe said he was still working out some bugs on the carbs. It's a 33 Plymouth, I believe. The alternator is driven from the driveshaft. It runs a 5 speed ******. The top is a diff color because it is bare metal. His son did that with a Mig. Pic I got from the HAMB
I thought it looked killer until the front end. It was mounted very ugly, totaly busted up the flow. I saw it at the drive in behind another car went up to it and turned around when I saw the front end? I've met Joe, I know his Son's so I mean no disrespect but I don't get peoples fasination with mounting the axle so far in front of the radiator. FLIP
Well if it is bare metal and he wants people to see good craftmanship i think its cool, just as long as it will be one colour in the end (my humble opinion)!
I like this car alot! It has some things that are done differently and they are done well. The drive shaft driven alt was a cool touch. Choppin Joe and the rest of the Road Zombies are always building great cars.
damn are you sure this is the HAMB board. the suicide front end is as old as rodding it was an effort to stretch the wheel base for better straight line handling. the car is not finished and its not as rusty as most. the high engine was used in altered and g***ers with the thought of weight transfer, now days they call it cartoon cars. either way its a *****in ****ing ride and I can't find a thing wrong with it. I guess I should sit down down and observe all the stupid and restorers remarks and laugh my *** off.
Well ****, I like it. Hell O love it, those Plymouths are a nice style coupe and I WANT one. Having said that, I think I would sit the motor lower? Doc.
Chopin Joe let me sit in that car at Paso and wow **** what a view. I want to chop my 33 but not so extreme, Nice job and yes the car is not quite finished yet but when it is watch out.
That car is bad ***! CHOP TOP JOE has done it again as far as I'm concerned! He knows the car isnt done especially the front end and grill set up I guess this place is just full of critics? The metal finishing on the top was amazing the pics dont do it justice! LTR Dave
Gee. I thought he did that to get the fan near the top of the radiator to make it cool better. har har
I fukin love that Ply-mouth! The metal work on the grill shell was *****in, cool way to tie it into the frame. I dig the high in the sky motor, looks killer! I'm with you though, Muttly, the electric fan needs to go.
HAHAHA....I guess you never seen his cars. His '33 is quite possibly my favorite hot rod and his 32 roadster is ****ing amazeing.
