looking good, gonna be cool... If you don't have the cock pit combing strip [hens teeth]... try the cowl band from a '30-'31 AA truck, steel not stainless, radius is very close to that of your cock pit... will need 2... forward, leading edge of the band "on the truck" will mount upwards... I laid one down on the pictured body, seems to match pretty well... go marc go... .
my guess is it's from 28 to 31 Tudor or four door roof. got pieces from different swap meets .passenger side pretty good fit drivers side not so good .
Wow - that's slicker than snott on a door knob Nice job - keep that brain cell - it did good! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This looks great. What are your plans for above the doors and header? going to build it like a standard coupe with drip rails and so on? Filled roof? Visor?
ya drip rails and a visor. and fill in the roof I want it to look like factory made with a Canadian beaver on the rad .the drivers side top piece is way more work then the passenger side
Beaver ...a..Canadian Beaver even.....well I don't think my radiator cap has had any Canadian Beaver.... Sent from my SM-T387V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Before you start welding you might want to search "Model A three window" here on the HAMB, I believe your car would look better with longer doors.
'30-'31 coupe doors are 27.5" F to R... the '30-'31 tudor / trucks are 29.25" … and are 1" taller from the top hinge upward. the hinge placement is the same for all 3 of the hinges ...
will both my 29 sport coupes the doors are 29 1/4''wide my 30 Tudor sedan is 29 1/4''wide I do like longer doors
Nice work - I too have a sports coupe and am contemplating a removable hard top like this. Good to see one done well!
I was always very curious about how it would look. The funny thing is I have seen a lot of sports coupes go fairly cheap and if this gets out they will bring higher prices!
