Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by desertratrodder, Jun 2, 2006.

  1. Who is going Saturday to sell? Or Sunday to shop?

I'd like to hook up with some of you that will be there Saturday, and early birds Sunday. I'm leaving kinda early to hit the Antique Nats at LACR.

Not sure of my space # as its not purchased yet, but it will be towards the back of the meet. Road 8 or 7 or?? look for a rollback tow truck with a 51 Shoebox Ford on it. Thats me. Stop by and BS for a bit. Ask for Ray.
We stay up late, and dont wake up at 5am!!
    Come on by!!

Am I missing something? Their website lists the date as June 4th, not June 3rd AND 4th. I'm planning on going Sunday because I thought that was the only day I had to choose from.

    What gives? Educate me...

Vance I think they mean going up on Saturday to get ready to sell. I was confused at first too though.

I'll be there, by hook or by crook! I'm not sure what time, man I wanna get there by 8 am though.

If you are a seller you can get in on Saturday, If you have stuff to sell and anti up the sellers fee. Alot of business is done on that day.
Went last month, Im going to the Antique Nats on Sunday.

  8. Scott is correct. The place opens at 9am Saturday for the vendors. It does not close at night. People like myself are running around in there all day and night scooping up the good stuff.

Theres not so much good stuff since Ebay was created, but sometimes I get something.

And there is Ford stuff there. Not as much as Chevy. Its a waste of time if you dont like walking, or if you prefer to order all your stuff from a catalog.

I think the fun of it is the hunt itself.

After I posted, I re-read all the previous posts and kind figured that's what was going on. I'm still plannin on being there on Sunday morning. I work with a couple of younger guys who are looking to buy a, well a VW, there I said it. Anyway, I told them that if the took me out there I'd help them look over the VW's and not let them buy a bad one. Win-win situation, I get to got to Pomona and they won't get taken to the cleaners. They like that deal.

I'll be the guy walking around wearing a NeverDead hat looking confused with the two Mexicans

I won't be there this time, but go there a lot. Always go in when gates open at 9am sat. shop saturday, then go back early sun am. I always go to the overflow area (by the seller's gate) first on sunday. That's where some of the best deals are. Sometimes, the overflow area is sold out on Saturday, so watch that.

I'll be in the Sweet Performance booth in row 22 space 20. Swing by and check out these brake hoses we're making. Discounts given to all orders placed by HAMB members.

I seriously thought I should change shirts before taking that photo. I guess I shoulda.

Well, at least I don't have a lame excuse for Lennon gl***es. Mine are officially licensed HD frames. That right there makes me cool.
