I used to have a '62 Comet more-door, I still regret selling that thing. I currently have a '64 Ranchero that I would like to put a '64 Comet front clip on, so if anyone knows of one that's being parted out....

  12. Last year I restored a 63 2door for my daughters first car. It turned out real nice! Light met' blue, white tuck & roll , 14" wheels with thin WW's and baby moons. rebuilt 170ci six, It was a great daily driver for a couple of months until some stupid chick who wasn't paying attention changed lanes without looking and ran my daughter off the road and now the Comet has a wasted quarter panel and bent front subframe with a folded under front wheel! After laughing at the insurance companys first offer I finally got enough out of them to cover the repairs.

63 Comet...one of my favorite cars. I actually bought it to be my son's first car and then decided to keep it. He got a Buick convertable instead.

I've got a '63 Comet convertible, a '63 S22 2 door hardtop, and a '61 falcon 4 door. The '61 falcon is going to be a simple little lowered driver, like my previous '62 4 door. the '63 S22 is going to be my stepson's cruiser when he turns 16 (he's 14 how, and he and I are going to build it together). My convertible is going to be a heavily modified custom, separate frame, Lexus DOHC V8, 5 speed trans, air bags, etc. as seen in my profile.

I have a 61, 4 door with <40,000 miles. I have been attempting to start a restore for years now. However, other projects seem to be taking all my time. If I do not start soon I will have to sell it to keep other projects going. If there is a possible interest, E-mail me and when or if I am ready I can let you know.

I drove my 65 Cyclone for years, just sold it a couple weeks ago. I drive a Falcon with 6 now. I love those little Fords and Mercs.

The early Comet's have the best styling cues of the late 50's along with a somewhat modern suspension. The best thing is the 60 & '61's are one of the last American cars with BIG HONKIN FINS!.
