some help on a '53 Ford hood brace...

I decided to have the inner braces on my hood sand blasted. Now I have no idea what to use for the that anti-rattle cardboard stuff that was original from the factory(they don't sell it). Any suggestions?

 

Try using bulk gasket material. I got a rool from my auto parts store and have used it for things like that. The stuff I got was in a 12" by 24" roll, grey and about as thick as a 12 pak carton. Works grest.
