I just brought home a 1956 ford parts car. I'll be using the control arms and rocker panels. The dash is gone and its its hit in the back. Right side inner wheel house is fine and trunk pan could be used for patches. Floor plans are good. The front spindles and brake parts and the rear diff are up for grabs. Got a a ***le, vin tag and frame #'s. Rear windows and regulators are good. PM with needs and we will talk. I wanted to offer the stuff here before the cl***ifieds. 20190209_153613.jpg 20190209_153555.jpg

That's a good match for the rear clip you posted earlier!

Steering column, master cylinder, brake pedal, clutch pedal, front spindles, rear diff, rear side windows and regulators, p***enger rear inside window trim, rear seat, front seat cushions, park brake handle ***embly, front bumper brackets, park light housings (light pitting), throttle linkage mounted to fire wall for a Y block. I'm taking this thing apart. I'd you need anything I'll make a good deal. Want you guys to get first shot. Next week I'm putting it on the cl***ifieds and Craig's list.

I'm curious if you're looking for the TOP pivot (I don't have one), and if they are made the same way the '57s are. I recently broke my top pivot. Poor design....the top pivot pin is necked down/grooved from 5/16 to just 1/8", and that's where they break. I thought I might have had a spare from a wing widow extra frame I had, but it was broke there also. Problem with replacing, if you can find one, at least on '57s, is the bracket that holds that pin is riveted to the vent window frame, and there's no way to replace it with the gl*** in.
I may have a solution........I'm going to look for a headless 1/8"drill bushing with a 5/16 body, and try and drill out the shaft, then insert a 1/8 dowel pin with loc***e, maybe even using the drill bushing left in place . The drilling would be done with everything ***embled in the frame, and the small retainer strap holding the bushing instead of the broken pin. Better yet, after drilling, would be to remove the bushing have a stepped pin made that would be a light press fit (or loc***e) into the hole. That way, the split nylon bushing would have it's intended purpose of putting some drag on the pin.

    I need a bottom pivot.

Your pivot sounds like a real headache but your solution makes sense!

Got a pic? I've got a '57 bottom pivot (if it's the same) you are welcome to.

I was trying to sell the doors whole. If that falls through I'll piece them out. All of the vent window stuff is there and working.

Venom:.........the '57 lower pivots I mentioned are totally different. They possibly could be subs***uted, but not something you'd want to do unless you were in a tear down stage. Vent gl*** would have to be out, and rubber seal out of the main vent window frame as well. 2019-03-01.png

Hey...not looking for any parts but curious if that car came from Edmond? I bought a 36 Ford coupe from the same guy I believe.

I'm not exactly sure what piece you are looking for. All the ebrake parts are there. Is it under the dash?

The front bumper appears to be straight. It's not perfect. I think it may have a small dent. I can take pics tomorrow in the light.

Just an update. The doors are good. The front clip minus hood are all usable with a little work. The rear side gl*** and regulators are good. I'll also have a 6cyl radiator that is good up for grabs soon. I'm upgrading to aluminum. The steering box seems good. I have two master cylinders. The rear diff is good. The seats might be clean able. The turn signals are probably only good for parts. Floors are bad, rear quarters are bad. A-pillars are good. Manual steering column is good. I prefer not to try to ship the big stuff. Rear bumper is bad but I think the bumper guards are good. No trim left. might consider selling it all if some one is interested. Good clean ***le.
