So many of these are posted with very little information,we give suggestion but never hear back on if it is fixed. It would be nice to know.
There has been a few I wanted to know about too, but it seems like once the problem has been solved, the guy moves on to something else. Sometimes I think it's a new guy looking for a solution, then never comes back to the site again once his problem is fixed!
There really isn't anywhere else you can go to and get a free diagnosis! Even Pep Boys charges $90.00 just to tell you what's wrong. Would be nice to hear back to see if the information given here resolved their problem though.
Yeah its good to post the end results here so they're on record. When people search on Google for traditional hot rod related answers they generally get sent this way. Its disappointing when you find a thread about something your searching but the answer you're looking for is missing from the end. I just posted a question thread here. I received the answer and also posted my results with a picture.
SD I propose we institute a donation box for advise given, you know, kind of like on the honor system..........never mind that would never work.
I agree 100%. And it's way worse on enthusiast forums for late model stuff, where like 90% of threads are first time users asking questions on how to fix stuff who never come back. That's really a shame.
I just want to know who was right, especially if it was ME! Lol I would be nice if guys would come back and tell what the problem was, some things I've gotten the books out and look up technical information and they still don't say if it works or not.
Especially if you follow a lengthy thread, with lots of twists and turns, kind of like maybe reading a mystery novel to near the end only to find the last page has been torn out of the book! (not that I have ever done that)
This reminds me of how some people are so willing to tell anyone that will listen about a Bad experience but seldom spread the word on a Job Well done. Weird Eh?
I still have to post the remedy for the oiling problem for the 327. I haven't forgotten, but I haven't put my new parts on to see what exactly fixes it.
Common courtesy isn't always common. It's only cool to pop back in, say thanks, and share what the fix was. May help someone with the same issue or we can at least file it away in a brain cell. You have to envision these discussions here as a group of car guys standing in a garage jawin about cars. You'd be a real dick to get your answer, turn your back and walk away. The rude one that irks me is when someone asks a question, then states "I don't get on the HAMB too often, P.M. or email me the answer. Same goes for someone's reply that states "see your PM, I shot you the answer/info", as if it's some well guarded trade secret! This would be like a group of car guys standing around offering advise, then one guy walks up to the the o/p and whispers the solution in his ear and not sharing the conversation with the rest of the group.
So many different answers to electrical questions I never know what to believe is the correct one, often wonder if the OP had a fire and lost it all. Bob
I just wanted to know the meaning of life. No-one on here has been able to tell me. Luckily Monty Python filled me in.
Thank You, are 2 words that are becoming rare in our society today IMO along with common sense. A mild rant from a Senior citizen this am, everyone have a Great Day !
I agree. I understand that people get busy and don't have time, and then just plain forget. But this is a help forum, and for others that have similar problems it would be nice to have the fix for these issues posted at the end of the thread.
My free advice I gave to my sons, You'll never understand, just try to get along and 2 things they should never underestimate, the power of money AND the power of pussy, the second cannot move mountains , BUT it can get the man with money TO move mountains.
Forget it, if we understood them, they would just change the rules and we’d be back to where we started. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I think some young Bone Head made an emoji to replace those actual words, thank God we haven't gotten that Retarded on here yet.
Since we're here on that topic I have a problem and wonder if anyone can help. . . . . No, you have to guess what the problem is cuz I don't know what to call it...
