Hi guys. Does anybody have a method for repairing (re-attaching) the ring section/arc of a 1955 manual steering Ford horn ring to the center section? They want 178 bucks for a re-pop. I just snapped it off. Aaaaarrrggghh!

  6. I have a couple in the barn somewhere. I just don't remember if they're 55 or 56

    I've got a 56 wheel, if it's the same I'll sell it to you cheap. I might have a 55, I'll look.

56 steering wheels have more dish to them. With the 55's longer column it may cut into belly room. LOL

I didn't know there was a difference. My 55 and my 56 column look the same

56 had a shorter column because it has a dished wheel, which was the first year Ford had the dished wheel. Part of the safety package

That would be great. I could send you a picture of a 55 if you wish.

Apparently, according to Mac's, there's a difference between horn rings for a car with power steering, and manual steering.

I think the size is the same. The power steering ones said power steering or some such.
