I ran up on a long time friend at a cruise in this evening, I've known Tony for almost 50 years he recently found this coupe. He said it has been chopped 5", sectioned 3" and channeled 1.5" the car is absolutely beautiful. Talk is cheap, check out the photo's. HRP My old '50 coupe looks huge compared to Tony's car. HRP
Impressive how....right it looks sectioned like that. I'm glad to see that, even with the chop and section, the builder left the drip-rail on the car; these Fords just look wrong without it. Beautiful car!
The proportions on that are just about perfect, but it sure looks tiny! Did you try it on for size? Any bites on yours?
I have a long list of things preventing me from doing that kind of work, lack of talent and winning the lottery where I could afford it, heck with cash I could but Tony's car for far less than what it would cost to build a clone. I've seen a lot of modified 49-51 Fords and whoever did the body modifications nailed the proportions, the car just looks right. Tony is seen standing beside the car and that gives a indication of how low the car is, he's 6' 4" and I fit but it's snug. I've had a few bites, It's a lot of car for the money, it's priced right. HRP
You got that right, someone invested a lot of time and had a good eye to pull of keeping the proportions pleasing to the eye, especially when you consider the car has been chopped, sectioned and channeled. HRP
It would be cool to see a picture of your car next to his car, with a person standing in between them for comparison.
Tony lives in another city so I don't see him all the time but he usually shows up at the Big Micky D's cruise in at the end of the month and if he does I will make ever attempt to make that happen. HRP
