1952-59 Ford Hope this is the right place to ask this

Wanted to know if anyone has ever tried to use a 55/56 Customline headlamp door/bezel on a 53 Ford customline... they look a bit cooler and without a 55/56 bezel to try I figured I'd ask the experts...I'm pretty sure they are pot metal so fabrication short of using the entire area of the fender surrounding the headlamp is probably not an option... Anyone tried it? Thanks Sarge
