  4. I like it because it's nicely built and not too rough and not too nice. Something you could drive and not be too worried about and not be embaressed about. Full doors and no top seems weird at first but I'm getting used to it.

I love that sport coupe....I've seen it tooling around Fullerton and Orange. I wish more guys would build em like that instead of whacking the tops off and roadsterizing them. IMHO

I liked the dash, and the quality of the car seemed good. I'm just distracted by the "is it a coupe or is it a roadster" look.

pick one: roadster or coupe. Either is fine, but both just isn't working. Kinda like playing steady QB

many of the "unfinished" cars these days are getting away from the total **** that was cool a few years ago. That is a neat car with great lines and nice style.

I saw that car in L.A. with a bomb in front of it. I didnt take any photos but I'd swear that was it. It looks like an artist's rendering of what a hotrod should look like. I looked at it for quite a while and it was built very well.

  10. I'm not crazy about the doors. Reminds me of someone riding around in a convertable with the top down and the windows up,

i think a top would be so different it'd grow on everybody..i'd like to see it

maybe even reshape that little accent to something "edgey" to match the looks

oh, and about the top, here's just a guess.... but I'm guessing he isnt done with it.

  14. I guess no one else saw him driving? his head is 10 inches over the windshield, tops out!

  15. Thats one of the coolest cars I have seen, I like sport coupes and this one is a stand out without the top. Being a well built car as many have said Is an even bigger bonus.

I like it, but think a top would take away the 26-27 T look it has now with the straight tops of the doors and windsheild. It needs a more rounded look to go with the body. I just can't keep track of all the Sport Coupe that are out there.:D

  17. I spent a lot of time looking at that car, wish it was mine. Mark

It bugs me and intrigues me at the same time. Good call on the exhaust. Where did he get all those sidebysides??? Maybe those barrels are cheaper than I think.

I read in Traditonal Rod and Kulture that he was on planning on making a carson top but likes it how it is. He did totally stick out way past the top of the windsheild. I don't think those are real Shotgun barrels because the tubing was too thin walled to be for a gun. It looked more like electrical conduit. I like the chevy grille on it.

You can sometimes get cheap barrels from Gun Parts Corporation... I have bought barrels for some odd guns from them cheap...

sweet...I think its too low for my tastes but not away too low. the shotgun exhaust is cool I like the sport coupe! it would be cool with a chopped cloth top and stream line the top to flow with the car.

I like it. I like the stance and the wire wheels and the unfinished sport coupe look. I think it could look like it does forever and still be cool, add a top...cool, wack off the door tops...cool. I have a sport coupe that I turned into a roadster because of the complete lack of any remaining top, heavy rust on door tops and windshield, and the fact I always wanted a roadster. I think the proportions are a little odd compared to a real roadster. Oh well. I still love this guy's car, and looked at it for a while in Paso.

What's not to like? I first saw this on the cover of Rod & Kulture. In the head on shot it looked like another roadster. Then when I saw the doors I was kinda surprised and now I'm liking it. It would be way kool with a folding top. One that flips back so you could get in and drive it....

A pretty severe chop for a tall guy like myself...I couldn't drive this one with a top, but visually it looks pretty cool.

I never saw too many sport coupes around here, I p***ed on one back in 80 for $200 bucks because I feared it wasn't legit. ( Guy who owned it dealt in shaky merchandise) It was pretty rough anyways. Standard coupes were the norn here, and Tudors outnumbered them about 10 to one. Roadsters were impossible to find.

Nice looking rod, but I'd rather have a Ford radiator shell rather than the Chevy one he used.

I don't like the grill shell, but overall I like it, sport coues are kindof neat, are they any cheaper than roadsters or cabriolets?

  29. Nice. Nice. I bet it would look great with some creative top on it when it rains or snows. I like the fact that it's got closed car doors and they got chopped, not eliminated. Just complete the car and make the whole thing a creative Sport Coupe. Nicely done so far.

  30. Looks like another bandwagon car to me.... Start with a beat up model A, pile on swap meet goodies, add some pipes that might get some attention, and shoot it with paint with flattener in it.

15 years ago the bandwagon cars had pastel paints and dumb looking graphics.
