While digging through my photo archives I ran across some video that I forgot that I had. I threw it all together and tossed it up on YouTube for you all to enjoy. Hard to believe its been 15 years already.
Thanks for posting that video. I was also there that year. I was happy the days I went it wasn't scorching hot.
2004 was our first year. We got the car certified past tech and made our licenses passes. Hooley made his first 200 mph pass. We had a flat bed trailer with the tool box and cooler strapped to the tongue of the trailer. Our tow vehicle was a wore out Suburban. The race engine was one he built hisself in his driveway with a set of swap meet rods and pistons that he had paid $50.00. To go 250 mph it took a $27,000 engine.
