Reminds me of one a neighbor of ours had when they purchased the farm across the street from us, back when I was a kid (mid to late 60s.) The wife drove it for a few years, until there was an "issue" with it, then it was parked in the front yard. The Packard became one of many cars, trucks, tractors, etc. that became "I'm going to fix that one of these days..." Sadly, I think most of this stuff went to the s**** after they both p***ed.

 

It's a 32, I posted pictures of those 2 cars a couple years ago on this post. The ruins of this city is the eeriest place I've ever been, the silence is really heavy and the weird part is as you move away from this place you start to hear birds, but in the city : nothing at all, just silence.

What's the story on this 55 delivery? I've been trying not to drag anymore stray cars home. But I could't have left without that one! Ron... Here's a sitting and rotting Packard I spotted this week. It's been sitting in the pasture on a farm, for a long long time. But it needs saveing!!!

That was 2005, out in the Arickaree breaks in Northwest Kansas, my guess is its still sitting there but man oh man I would have a hard time finding it, took the photo while meandering the countryside.

Sad Stude Speedster.......could be the one I chased for years - complete - but slowly every gl*** that could be broke - including dash instruments - broke out ...

 

Thanks for the posts - actually most Germans weren't bad.....they just had a bad leader !

 

Believe the chrome strip across the top is still present on that 55 Speedster.....that's different than a President from the same year.....and ya think the 55 Crown was special.........

This cool old chevelle was parked in 1972 and been sitting in this opened carport. The owner said that it's not for sale. Life has just always got in the way. I told him, that he really needs to put it back on the road. It would be an easy build. He has everything. A built 327 and, 4 speed ******. I told him I'd be glad to help him any way I can. He's 77 years old. It even has the old flat drag slicks still on it! Such a COOL car!!!
