The instructions that came with my tank recommend mounting the rollover valve/vent at least as high as the fill neck. This makes sense should the tank be overfilled and some of the fuel fills up the vent line. But wouldn't it make more sense after running this line at or above the fill neck, to run it down to the frame and put the roll over valve below the tank? In the case of a roll over, wouldn't you want the vent opening to be higher than the upside down tank and having the valve there would ensure nothing drains? Either orientation it still vents into the tank? What am I missing? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I believe there has been previous threads on this forum about fuel tank vents. I myself find the thread search here to be a PITA. Since no one else wants to chime in I don't think it matters so much where it's located as long as it's oriented in the proper UP position. Check ball inside effectively shuts fuel off when valve is upside down. Be sure to loop vent line higher than fill tube before running to a lower mount. If I'm mistaken I'm sure someone will correct me. Hope this helps
Thanks. That's what I was thinking. It makes sense but I wanted to run it by someone else. Yhea there are a ton of venting threads and I've read through a lot, but you can never seem to find your situation. The search on here is a PITA so I use Google and just put HAMB after each search term. Seems to do a much better job finding relevant threads.
