I had a great time as well. It's a beautiful setting, and the band rocked. Definitely will be there next year--with my Chevy!

Good to meet all you guys, and talk.

And Jerry, you're lucky you got that Plymouth hidden--I was seriously going to yank those bumpers! lol

From the silent auction to the great band to the great cooked pig, potato salad, baked beans, chips and pop it was a great time and thanks to Lo for havin' us.

BTW for the nay sayers, about it being a social, we did have ice cream:eek: :D

Didn't see a single lawn chair there, just people hanging out and having a great time.

Lo said same weekend next year with the same goodies and band only on Saturday. It's on my calendar.

Thanks again Lo for a great day:)

Yea, we even thought about a HAMB thrash to fix it, we had the tools and the ambition, but leadsled01 changed his mind!

Man, what a great time!!! I've never had as much fun at a show. It was great; beautiful place, rockin' band, the pig was delicious......best of all was the laid back, shoot the breeze environment with everyone.

This is a must do every year!!! I see it really growing....

Lo, YOU DA MAN! You had all the details worked out and rounded out the ice cream social with music and a pin striper....dang! My wife really enjoyed it and had a great time pushing our baby girl around the beautiful lake!

Oh yeah, Chromed rats skull shifter knobs are simply awesome. I'm really proud of it. My little girl held onto that thing all the way home- even when she fell asleep!

The poster that Blown49 designed was tops!!! It'll look great in the garage....

Thanks again!!! Next year, I should be there in the roadster.....

Wish I could put it on my calendar , but that weekend has been the KOA Show for a few years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. There's just too much stuff scheduled that weekend.

man, that's a damned shame. is there some other way to get together next year? i've got 200 acres here on the farm and a bad *** grille with the biggest propane tank most of ya's have ever seen, but not a whole helluva lot of money. i could supply some stuff for sure. maybe get a keg, some hot dogs and burgers, etc. ****, if i ould find a digital projector, like they use at schools and etc, we could have a "drive in movie" shot on the back side of the foundry... my best bud also works for a party rental that his dad owns, so we could probably make alot of stuff happen for free or cheap.

dan, and any other ohio HAMBers, man, get ahold of me. i'm dead serious. there isn't near enough for ohio HAMBers to do to get together anymore, especially since the KKOA show left lancaster...

Dude I'll help out any way I can. I wasn't trying to be a downer just saying that there's too many things going on. But that seems to hold true for any weekend.

I'm going to retire in January Josh / Dan, as I have already said, I'll be available to help plan and be more then willing to help fund the event. I do think it would be a prudent business decision, to move to a weekend before or after the Lan****er Old Car Show. As an outsider, I find Lancaster to not be the friendliest city in the nation and certainly not the cultural capitol of the world, as many beleive! I seriously doubt that we lost H.A.M.B.ers to the Old Car Show, but I'll give that the benifit of the doubt. As far as competing with the KKOA weekend, if only one H.A.M.B.er showed up, it would surp*** the popularity of the entire KKOA! They left Lanscaster for the same reason they leave everywhere else...............nobody in their right mind wants to pay $50 for nothing.

    I had a blast!!!

I really, really hate that you lost your ****. I mean it!!! It really bothers me.

I'll have to say, you really know how to take care of all aspects.

How about we just try and keep it simple for the first few years. Just a simple get-together at a free place. Those coming has to bring some buns, chips and a pack of dogs. If you want more eloborate than that, bring it with ya. I guess just a shade tree and some hot rodders to shoot the breeze with.......I don't want to see this go by the wayside....especially after you worked SO hard to make a great time.

Ya, lets keep it simple for a few years untill the crowds roll in. Although I appreciate what LO c Dan did it first cl*** but, you gotta start low-n-slow.

I'm sorry to hear about your upsetting time...I know you worked really hard to put it together. I'm sure the weather had a lot to do with it. It was pouring rain here. It's not that I mind driving in the rain but it's a whole different story to drive in the rain to sit in the rain all day. I agree, keep it simple to start with. If someone's got a farm and we all bring some grub to p*** we can just sit back, relax and enjoy eachother's company.

I was one of the guys that didn't show up and I was very much looking forward to the event. However, my mom was admitted to the hospital Sat. night, so that took my time on Sun. Family always comes first, even more so when they are elderly...

Sorry I didn't attend, I hope something else can be put together.

I was there-it was a good show and very well put together. The band rocked!! I had to leave early to attend my daughter's senior art show. Put me down to help out next year-where ever you have it! The state park was great! would be hard to top the location. alex
