You might try Sanderson. They don't list sbf lake style but I bet they'll make them for you. They don't list flathead lake style, (or limefires), but I have them on mine and they work great. Be sure to get the copper gaskets too.

Speedway Motors sell some Lake style header kits. I got the kit and welded them up to fit my car. they worked out nice. It also come with some dumps and a plate. I didn't use the dumps and cut a hole in the caps and weld up a baffle to the caps.

I've built 4 pair for SBF's using a combination of the Speedway kit and ****** stub flanges....The Speedway header flanges are junk. The ****** stubs are just dreamy to work with

Im runnin the Sandersen limefires on my 302. A little pricey but they fit perfect and sound great! They come with end caps and the the parts to connect pipes to the dump out the bottom. I have the end caps on but I havent run pipes out the back yet so its a little loud but I dig it!

I did the same thing. Got the Speedway kit, ran the ends open with fabbed turn downs. My only complaint is the thin-*** guage of the metal on the tubes. The flanges were just fine. The tubes should be thicker in my opinion. BTW, I also tack-welded 17 inch turbo mufflers inside the "cones" & LOVE the kick-*** sound! Something you might want to consider. Warning: Make sure you're clearing everything as you run these things back. in particular the angle. Could run right on top of your steering gear on the drivers side if you're not careful! Good Luck!

  11. Sanderson Limefire with jet-hot coating---fit perfect, never blues, never rusted. Can't say too many good things about them----but----if wearing rayon slacks, DO NOT lean over idling car to adjust carburetor!!!!

Hey Rad****, I never could find those in the Speedway catalog. They show about everything but small Ford. I was going to buy the Chevy kit & some Ford flanges. Can you tell me if you just called them and ask or what? Thank`s

i tell ya what, dealing with matt at lakeheaders.com has been a pleasure. he made them up in 1 day for me, ill let you know how they fit and how they look. the price sure is right, and he can make them any way you like as far as recessed firewalls, length, turnouts, drop down tubes....my biggest pet peeves with these style headers with drop down tubes, is...the flange on the drop down tube. if im goign to put a drop down tube, im going to weld the tube to the main collector, and run it down under the car THEN put the flange. too many flanges at the ends is my pet peeve.

ill let you guys know how they are when they arrive.

Muffman...I forgot to mention....you have to order the Chevy kit and then order the Ford flanges......I ended up using the Chevy flanges later for another project......
