well now... that is interesting! My guess would be alky for a sprint car. Looks like the principal could be adapted to just about any 'ol base plate, given the talent.
Keepin' it on the front page so someone may chime in with info.

I saw a couple at a swap meet in Georgia last year. The guy that had them has a carb rebuilding shop, sorry can't remember where. He told me that they were used as end carbs in a three carb set up. First time I ever heard of them much less seen them. If I run across his card i'll re post.

Wow! Neat! I' recall seeing various style SCOTT injectors from
''back in the day', but I've never seen or heard of this particular
type/style before. Very very cool! vintage 'speed' stuff for sure!
Hopefully somebody here will know more about these gems and
post some information on them because Now that we've seen
a pic and you've whetted our appe***e.....inquiring minds *NEED*
    to know more! :D

Fellow in Eugene OR, has, or at least had a 3X2 with a center 97 and the early Scotts for dumpers. Wanted $1500, if I remember correctly... I guess I didn't help though, did I?

I think I remember an article in HOT ROD on these from the mid fifties or so. It will be awhile, but let me see if I can dig it up. The one thing I know about Scott products was that they made an aftermarket top for Stromberg 97s that had a neat shape to them with no choke tower. I'll see what I can do for the article.

Steve, contact rustywagoners here on the board. He knows a lot about Scott injection systems.

Here is a reply from Mel's wife.

    "
Those injectors were the very first ones Mel made--he made the pattern for them. Ron Hess, his partner, a cabinet maker made the pattern for the subsequent ones."
