That's crazy. Those are probably '37 ******s with '50 Olds tailshafts and idiot eBayers bidding. In the real world, a '37 ****** (w/o Olds tailshaft) ought to bring $300-$700.

Ouch.... I've been stung before, too. I gave $7K for one, but it came with a '50 Olds tailshaft, a '50 Olds coupe and a 24' car hauler. ;) :D

I've got one in my Lyndwood rail that cost $50.00 with the modified Ford U joint adaptor. Got another at Hershey 3 years ago for $125.00. Are there rebuild kits with new needle bearings, if so who sells them?

Be patient, and keep your eyes open at the swap meets. I picked up two side shifts, both in good useable condition, last year on ebay for $200. The guy didn't want to ship them, and I was the only bidder. I drove a 280 mile round trip to pick them up. One is really nice--it came out of the '39 Cadillac he**** he was hot rodding.

Well that beats the $150 I paid for a whole '37 LaSalle that was a pile of rust and dust!!!!! Or the $250 I paid for a '40 LaSalle. I still have a lot of the parts, but I sold most of the good stuff to pay for my habit.
