    Hi All,
Wondering what the manual trans options are for my Lincoln 317 motor, currently has the factory auto. I'm thinking the Ford F7 trucks with the 317 probably used a manual transmission, so wondered if a truck flywheel, clutch and bell housing might work?
I'd like to fit it to a T5, but happy to make the adapter if I can find a suitable bell housing to modify and flywheel/clutch ***embly. It's got to be easier if I have a bell housing and flywheel that fits the motor.
Any help or thoughts on this very much appreciated. I'm in the UK so all this stuff is really hard to find but you've got to start somewhere.....

That intake is awesome! Good to hear that the truck BH will work. I don't mind machine work and know it won't be a straight swap to get where I want. Just got to find a truck BH and flywheel I guess. Easier said than done in the UK but why make things easy?........

If you look at an FE bellhousing, the bolt holes are correctly located, but about half a hole to far out. People have slotted those holes and successfully run them on Lincoln engines. The dowel holes will also need to be located and drilled. I did it using an FE blowshield and have seen it done using FoMoCo parts DSCN0117.JPG

Come on. I wanted to run my destroker 368 +.060 in your car in C/AIR. Nobody wanted to do that, so I sold it. Schifer Flywheel, Hilborns and all. I do still have a 317 short block free for the taking if anyone want's it. FYI. I sold the tires and wheels to. 017.JPG

The flywheel I used was another swap meet part. Guy said it had been on a 390, I have been told that an FE flywheel will not bolt to a Lincoln crank. This one did. So either a FE flywheel will work or the guy was wrong about what it had been on.
