i hope to get my car back together in time to park inside. if not, then i'll be a spectator regardless.
****, IF I WAS A COOL *** ROCK~A~BILLY WANNA~BE ID BE THERE FER SURE !!!! LAST TIME I WENT ( like 5years ago ) I FELT LIKE I WENT TO A GANG FIGHT.. WAY TO MUCH COOL'NESS FROM THE 20~SOMTHING CROWD THATS BEEN HOT RODD'IN FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS......... THANKS, BUT NO THANKS !!!!!!!!!!
lol, i know what you mean.....there are quite a few "tough guys" I still go, there's always a few bands I want to see, and I usually can only make about 1 concert a year...... Damn, it's hot there, though
i'll be there not with my car...just my bro and i...so if u see two hot chubby sweaty mexicans eattin burgers and drinking beers...u know to say whats up
Sent my info to them, no anwers yet, guess they are to busy dealing with the Goldchainers... BadBob let me know if you hear something, (same goes for the Long Beach show next weekend)
I was there two years ago...hotter than two rats ****in' in a wool sock! Some decent cars (although I saw just as many outside the show overheated...get there early!), good music if you're into that style, and a couple gnarly fights. Not sure if I'm into that anymore. Bryan
Yeah, that was back in my younger years at 29... The fight was pretty funny at first...it was in a bunch of old carnival e****ent...reminded me of a cheesy 80's flick. Bryan
most of those rock - a - billy posers that go there wouldn't know a hemi from a hamburger anyway. If you wanna see the real deal - go to Speed Week in August at Bonneville. Anything that smacks of "Culture not Cars" - everyone I know avoids like the plague.
Result of going to the Hootenanny! My first year this year, and never again! Hot, with a nice breeze off of the volcano! I found out my Plymouth can overheat if left idling forever! There were three stages with 2 bands playing at all times. I wouldn't listen to my two favorite bands playing simultaneously, and this just sounded like noise! Drunk loud pinheads at 9 am! A Volkswagon Beetle in the middle of the car show. One of the easiest cars to see! Did I mention the 2 musclecars and the gl*** car. Did I mention that it was HOT!! On the plus side, A lot of the cars there were cool, but there were not many (total) of them.
You Southern CA guys have it made...except for the high priced housing and the three hour commute to work! I got shipped out for work for a week and just happened to be the same time as the Hootenanny. I agree, it was HOT, and the fighting (although exciting at times) is not my cup of tea. The bands were great though. The cars, for the most part, were cool. I had a great time. We don't get a lot of rockabilly concerts around here, the cars are "RAT" rods (according to the people who built them), and I don't wear enough gold to fit in at the car shows **I am looking forward to the Hunnert Car Pileup though...it's really a great time**. I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes you might want to appreciate what's there. I did. Thanks to everybody who brought their cars for me to check out! Kamp
