Another bitchin ride is gonna hit the streets soon - very nicely done!

 

The engine is heading back to the machine shop tomorrow for a fire and break in. I swapped up the wires for another color that I like better and also added some separators the throttle jockey made for me. The body is also final sanded, seam sealed, and ready for paint

Tell us a little more about the plug wire separators. Do they just slide onto the wire before the end is crimped? Are they connected to each other? Or just touch each other?

Yup..you have to slide them on before the ends get crimped. I layed out all the wires, figured out my lengths, slid them on, and put my wire ends on. There is a small plastic sleeve that slides over the wire first...then the metal separator slides over. They are tig welded together on the backside.

Steering wheel Chris from CA recasted and whittled out a 41 Lincoln wheel for me. We came up with a color close to the paint

Wow that looks great is the filler material translucent and then painted or is the color in the filler?

 

The material is tinted to the needed color. When dry, it is translucent like the early Lincoln wheels
