1952-59 Ford Seat belt length

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by DrDragon, Apr 12, 2019.

  1. I'm going to get seat belts for the 58 Ford wagon. It has the original bench seats. Do I go with 60" or 74"?

Not sure you could go wrong with the longer belts, on the other hand..........
Folks in general are a lot fatter than they were in the 50's, so shorter belts may be a problem?? But, if your 6'5" with a 30" waist, the short belts should be just fine.

Go with the longer ones! I bought and installed the shorter ones, and they are too tight. I have a 37 inch waist on a 6'2" frame, and they are too tight.

Same here, 60" belts just barely able to snap them, wish I had bought the longer.

I went 74" with mine, 3-point up front, 2-point in back.

Julianos has most of what u need, but I have been looking at the possibility of purchasing at johnnylawmotors.com or autoloc.com not sure what I will do as yet. Any comments on those 2 webstores would be appreciated

Not technically but they are a reseller for their products. I googled The Hoffman Group and it shows all of their brands and resellers.

I bought some belts from J C Whitney and was very satisfied with them.
