I was flipping through some old drag racing magazines last night found a few things. Sent from my SM-T387V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The Irwindale guys too. Larry Sutton (black hat), Richard (forgot his last name) in the center of the shot, funny hair-do. Both guys were starters at Irwindale over the years. Cool shot, I didn't know (Steve Haight, owner) Mike (tuner, driver) ran a wing on that car. Also a later "flag" design paint from the original design. Mike
Keep up the good work Loudbang and others! Is there a thread for Front Engine Dragsters? I've searched and can't really find one.
Drag cars in motion has a bunch like 1900+ pages LOL https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...picture-thread.228509/page-1925#post-13039862 And there is a thread on lessor gas dragsters that I can't think off the bat.
Some I spotted in some magazines I was going through. Sent from my SM-T387V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Shit happens. After taking a second look, I believe that is a version of Gary Cochran's (Mr. C) Ford powered modified roadster.
i love this blue one! it looks like a couple of kids built a street t and then got the racing bug. it's a glass body. notice the wood bracing inside.
I don't know why you don't see more builds like this today. They could be built fairly cheap and don't require a big hp engine to go pretty quick. Gathering parts to build one myself.
