I haven't updated this in a while...been busy. Got a new toy for my shop, a Lennox/ Pullmax machine. Have been having fun with it making parts for this car. I made some door bottoms and upper door jam parts. The door jam parts were a little difficult but came out pretty good 20190118_175234.jpg 20190118_175234.jpg 20180825_145754.jpg

I put a recess in the firewall for the distributor and a little room behind the head for plug wires. 20190126_181939.jpg

Also got the one driprail on. Bending the new driprail took some trial and error. Ended up using heat and a makeshift die. 20190126_181213.jpg 20190126_181321.jpg 20190126_124538.jpg 20190126_181848.jpg

I got the machine at an auction sorta close by. It was listed really wrong but still had to fight 2 guys for it. Really liking it!

Great work, I find this very inspiring to see this kind of work being done and wish I could do it also!

Is this rain gutter something you made or is it supplied by someone? It looks a lot like the gutter on a 1931 Slant Back. Nice work as always. Bob

Love these as details. I sure hope it's tall enough to be able to remove the dist. (looks like it is...)
The ones that hug tight to engine parts just look like no thought was given. You want to be able to wipe stuff down (finger room) and remove components!

Got the body in epoxy primer today. Metal work is finally done on the body. Just have to finish the bottom of the doors. 20190414_135900.jpg

Also epoxied the inside and sprayed Raptor bed liner inside. Wanted to do this before I add the steel bracing so that everything gets coated. Floor and bracing have been clecoed in and will be easy to put in once dry 20190414_135916.jpg

The irony is the first guy probably has about the same time making a quilt and bondo sculpture as you do fixing it correctly!

  28. Clark, you are a metal wizard. You've performed a miracle here. I actually talked to the owner about this time last year. I didn't realize he was the owner until after he described the car and the work you were doing on it.
