I don't why these guys make such a big deal about a "secret' reserve. If you want "X" amount for a car (or anything), start bidding at that point. Personally, my feeling is if some one won't list the price it's probably overpriced and not worth looking at. Either that or they are just trying to find out what they can get and not really trying to sell the item
