Technical Click, Click, Click

HRP said it was electric in post #5, you posted your fix in post #10.

 

See what ya started Danny. Dagnabit, my electric Stewart Warner started doin it 2day. Oh well, 2 grand on the tach is 80 MPH so I'm good to go. LOL

Certainly, the way I see it the more members we have the better the odds of figuring out what it takes to fix the problem. HRP

 

Is this some thing that just started?

 

John, I think I mentioned earlier that the speedometer most likely made the clicking for years but with no insulation or interior the wind/ engine noise probably drowned it out, with the new interior the car is considerably quieter thus even a minor noise would be amplified now. HRP

 

I thought the clicking sound came from camera used to take the new interior shots.

 

Still haven't heard back from Cl***ic Instruments tech department. HRP

Im surprised they haven't gotten back to you yet, but I had the same problem in an off topic vehicle until I intsalled a stereo system. If you don't want a radio in your rod its possible you could kill the sound with left over insulation from one of your other builds. try playing with some zip ties and insulation

I went back and looked thinking I had typed the e-mail and failed to send it, but that was not the case. HRP

 

I'm thinking an actual phone call to their tech department would be more effective.
When I wanted my speedometer converted over to KPH I called them and it was quick and easy.

 

Speedo sounds good, but had a torque wrench that went click click click and in high school, i was never in the click...........Keep drive'n em boys !
