I think it would be safe to say that everyone that post on here does commision work. Just drop a PM to one of the artist, I'm sure they will hook you up.

I just showed my boss (who isn't the biggest car fan) and she was really impressed!

    I really enjoy your work!

Anytime you feel like illustrating a certain car let me know so I can send you a pic... I don't mind seeing our photography turning into awesome illustrations.

....I'd show you.... but then I'd have to kill you....
It would be neat to see a few different tech threads on how everyone creates their art... there are so many different styles represented here, vector-wise... I'm sure you'd learn a variety of techniques...

  19. 77 replies/entries and it's not yet friday... I'm not a big fan of gratuitous ***patting, but no one does an art show to this high caliber on a weekly basis like the hamb does! cheers!

With all the cool Tiki art this week I thought I'd post a pic of one I did from a stump in my front yard awhile back. Can't remember if I posted it when I did it so here it is. @ 6' tall and all done with a small chainsaw and 4 1/2" grinder.

And some simple striping I did today on my son's 50's Bilt-Rite baby carriage. Going to stripe the sides this weekend.

While I was in the garage I snapped some shots from the archives. This old art is from that late 80's when in high school. I was really into musclecars then.

Truly inspiring gents. Thanks to everyone for sharing.

Here's a commissioned piece - don't even get me started on the wheels, I could barely draw them, torture.

  28. WOW! cool stuff everyone!!! I really dig all the tiki art this week. I'll jump on the tiki band wagon, too...A friend of mine is making these longboards, here in S.A. They're called "Garage Bomb 54's"...they're 54 inches long, 13 ply, 3/4" Baltic Birch, 40" wheelbase. Usually he stains them as per the customer's color request, but I woodburned the tiki and stained the deck myself. I also made the grip "tape" with silica sand and clear. Cool, huh?!
