Just got word today that well known hot rodder Norm Fletcher aka Stormin Norman suffered a major heart attack while golfing with another hot rodder friend. After CPR he was rushed to ICU at Tri City and placed in an induced coma. They are now doing the process of "warming up" to bring him out of the coma. Norm is from Southern CA and well known for his Model A Woody and his hot rod run called M*** A Cars. Norm has been living in Warner Springs for several years and recently(I think) revived his run and held it in his home town. He also had a flamed beer barrel pickup. I don't think he was on the HAMB much but he is a well known character in the South CA area. I met Norm when he made his first visit to Australia back in the 80's and we have been friends ever since. Thoughts to Norm and his wife Kathryn and we hope for a speedy recovery but is touch and go at the moment. In the picture below Norm is on the right with cap on.
OK Good news now. Norm is improving every day and is up and walking. Seeing visitors and in good spirits. Every day they remove another thing that was put in to keep him alive. Later this week is a pacemaker. All is good now. He will probably miss the Streak this year but you never know he might make an appearance.
