simple fab needed in dallas

    some simple fabrication needed or just use of a drill press and vise in dallas. preferably downtown. just wanna make 2 sets of these. 1/2 in all thread 5 in long and 1/4 in steel plate. for lowering rear by compressing coil springs

    that price is much better. the ones i posted a pic of were $40 a pair... and thats fron jcwhitney... figured i could make em for $5 a pop but i'll look for those ones

    Just take the springs out and cut them. It's free and accomplishes the same thing, shortening the spring and increasing the rate.

    the springs are tapered at top and bottom or that would be my first choice

    I like the clamping idea . . . that way if you can't live with the new spring rate, you can always put it back. If you were going to cut them, you could try finding a spring "hat" that would work (in the right diameter) to keep the boogers centered where they need to be. I'm going to go junkyard diving for some springs to try on my car.

    im cheap. i could always buck up and go the $100 for new lowered ones... nah fuck it
