Ok well this is a tough one to figure out, what do you guys think.
Should I keep the 1930 Model A roadster
should I take the 1936 Hudson Terraplane P/U and 9000.00 cash
Man I hate this kinda mind bending thought process.
Thanks for your kind input. Chris

Model A's are a dime a dozen, you can always find and build another one.

Three questions: How much do you like the roadster, how much do you like the Hudson, and how bad do you need $9000?

i see a lot of cars and trucks that are interesting to look at and the workmanship and artistic ability of the builder is really impressive, however i wouldn't care to own them. an A model roadster on the other hand is and always will be an incredible car and very desireable. keep the roadster and get a project if you need something to wrench on

Last time I checked, Model A roadsters aren't a dime a dozen. They're a hot item, second only to the 32. Maybe the pickup and $19000. You might want to see how many distributors handle Hudson parts before you make that decision. Conversely, if I had the Hudson, I'd sell it to ya in a heartbeat if the deal involved a Model A roadster. If your roadster is in good shape it should bring "good" money. How about a picture? Good luck with it!

What I think Treb meant was that EVERYONE is building Model A's. They're a dime a dozen at shows, drags, magazines, etc. I'd take the Hudson and more cash. Maybe 10 or 12. Yeah, it might be a harder build, parts wise, but in the end you'll have something unique. There won't be 7 Hudsons parked side by side at an event that you show up at is all I'm saying.

Well thanks for the comments so fare, I have the roadster listed on here for sale and never got a hit or inquire one,Maybe to much money, what I realy want is a coupe or 2D sedan. Still pondering this one before I make a move, the Hudson is rare and uniuqe to say the least but the roadsters always draw
the look ,of cource the wife says take the deal and hand over some cash.Go figure that one out.

This is a very good point, the good side is the Hudson has everthing there plus many spares and a fresh engine and ******.They sure look cool built, I saw one turn up on Barret Jacksons auction late model running gear and a big engine, that ****er sold for 175k , but probley had at least half that in the car to get that. They are differant. Owner of a 37 Terraplane myself, I would go for the pickup, but be warned there not many parts out there made to fit a hudson, but thats what I like about it,makes you use your brain to make things work. Which everway you go good luck, its your call. I know its not normal to own a Hudson but normal people scare me !

Got pics of both? An A roadster sounds way cooler than the terraplane to me...

Hudsons are different and cool in their own way but I prefer A's. If your roadster body is good you should be able to turn it into a coupe body and a handful of money. Roadsters generally go for more than coupes, and surely there's a coupe owner somewhere out there that wants to go ******* and is willing to spend some cash to make it happen. On the other hand 9k is enough to buy a decent A coupe too. Decisions decisions...good luck :)
