A coupla months ago, I saw some pix of an orange & white '56 Merc hardtop at a cruise night or outdoor show. The car was very low and very tasty, but I didn't save the pics and don't remember its specific mods. I'd like to see more of the car, but haven't had any luck searching through Dave Lindsay's, DRD57's, and Carnut's sites. Anybody have any pictures of this car they could post? TIA
I believe it is! Thanks, Frenz! Anybody know any more, like who owns it? And how was it lowered so drastically? I think it looks great, without a lot of modifications having been done to it.
That is a beautiful car. The car exchanged hands a couple of times in between that we had to redo some of the air bag setup, we did a triangulated four link, with dropped spindles. The two tone green is one of our buddies without dropped spindles, also with a triangulated four link. Erik
Erik- that green one is BAD ***!!! Don't forget me on those things we talked about! I want to paint my truck that same color as that merc while it's in suede.
Aha! I also see from these pix that the orange car has lost the fussy bit of trim below the windows. What a difference that makes!
I have one siting in my garage that will be almost as low and it was done without bags, dropped spindles, split lower a arms, shorter springs and lowered rear springs and blocks. Its a friends car and I hope I can get it out of the garage due to the driveway slope. Jeff
wow, if its that low, he's going to want some kind of ride adjustment sooner or later....or at least raise it a little. Its hard trying to ride that low these days without it
Sweet, I really like the 55-6 Mercs there is a darker metalic green and white one down here, very stylish cars.
