Monroe WA Swap Meet this weekend!!

Monroe has standards? Heading out in a bit.

 

got a few things, what did you get?

 

An empty wallet ..

 

What? No other reports on cool finds and great deals?!!

 

I'll bite. I'm a vendor at the Fall event, and since my brother couldn't make it this year I pretty much spent the weekend tending the stall. So no serious shopping for me. But I did find this cool Snap-On carry box Saturday afternoon while en route to the restroom.



Two-drawer, flip-front style, VERY heavy and in need of clean-up. Even so, $40 seemed like a great price to me. But I'm a ****er for these old Snap-on boxes. Guess I'm not the only one, because I put it at the back of my booth and guys were sniffing at it all day.

 

I also had a quick chat with the guy who sold this. At $600, somebody got a good deal, although it didn't sell until well into Saturday. In fairness, it's even rougher in person than it looks in the pic. Check out the rear window.

 

Ok...Heres two of the treasures that helped empty that wallet...2 Bluepoint axle/hub pullers
(The first & third pics are the one that fits over the early ford hub flange...we think)

 

May 18 & 19 NEXT weekend... 7 days & counting.. So who's going this year ?

Lets see my 1st Monroe was actually at the Seattle center in the exhibition hall in the late 60's. I was hmm maybe 16. I have missed a few but not enough to count on 1 hand. Now at 75 that's one hell of a lot of Monroe's and god know how much money. I don't go the fall ones as it conflicted with Hershey which I went to for over 30 years. Rain or shine I will be there looking for that elusive something I really don't need but can't p*** up!!! If I don't buy it someone else will get it and I can't have that, spoken like a true hoarder.

If my old back let's me walk I'll be there looking for a nice '32 roadster body for under $5000. something not needing much work and preferably already painted.
