I was wondering if any one has A suggestion on how to get rid of the heat on my v8 54 bel air. I'm running A mechanical fan with A new aluminum radiator. The water temperature does pretty good unless I set in traffic A long time.The heat coming off my headers makes the engine bay very hot.
Get some header wrap, spend a few hours wrapping them, you'll find a great difference, but the biggest thing is finding a way to get the air through the engine compartment so the heat leaves effortlessly. Maybe open up your wheel wells a little?
Ok thanks ,I had my heads ceramic coated A few years ago and has not held up very good.I will consider A way to get some air flowing through the inner fenders.
