Put new carpet in my car over the weekend. Its amazing how different it looks now. The factory rubber mat always made the interior look too dark. I also put Fatmat down and what a improvement in the way the car sounds going down the road. It is almost new car quiet. I highly recommend that stuff. I still need to put in the new windlace and recover the kick panels but I'm super happy with the outcome. 20190526_193855.jpg 20190526_193841.jpg 20190526_193924.jpg 20190526_193915.jpg

I wish I had thought to take a before pic. I get too involved in the project and forget about pics. I had alot of rust on the floors I had to fix also. Thanks for the compliments too.

Looks terrific, and I love that "brands" vinyl in the Ranch Wagons!

I bought two rolls of 80 mil 50 sqft each. It only took about 3/4 of one roll to cover from the firewall to just under the rear seat. I plan on finishing under the seat and the rest of the floor and doors, quarters maybe this winter. With the unexpected floor rot this project took about two months longer than expected. If it ever quits raining I'm ready to go on some road trips.

So, who did you get your carpet from? I haven't had much luck.

I got it from Stock Interiors. Definitely had some nuances but not too bad. I used about a roll and a half of carpet tape to hold it in place. The felt pad definitely has to be in the right position to the seams or it won't lay right at all.

I also used 3M spray adhesive sparingly to hold the felt in place.

I had 2 different carpet kits from them, no luck. They fit terrible.
