More proress on the 'A' roadster.

First off the brakes, we don't talk about these......

    ....so moving swiftly on.......

    Before....

    Now....

The horribly mounted and wonky back lights have gone to be replaced with a single '32 lamp, Muroc "when the Hot Rods Ran" style.
All the unused holes have been welded up.

    Before....

    Now....

All the floors been replaced and the subrails have been sorted. The floor has been plug welded so now is solid and neat.
Its was prviously held in with one tack...and...eerrmm...that was it!

Started to re-wood it, which has come to a grinding halt with the seat.
The problem is I have nothing to work from so I don't know would should and shouldn't be there.
I seem to missing the brackets that actually hold the seat wood to the base.
If anyone has any pics of a stock 30/31 roadster seat that would be much appreciated.

    I'm using a Clings master cylinder kit ( www.clingsaftermarket.com ).
I can highly recommend these, the quality is out of this world. All alloy construction, all steels parts have that factory gold finish, wilwood master cylinder, fully ***embled the list goes on and on.

    Before....

    Now....

I have gone back to a 30/31 from the 28/29 wheel as it was causing problems with the light switch rod which runs down the centre of the column.

I've now got a 10 pound curved gl*** SW gauge in the empty hole.
It worked out well as it is the same diameter as the mag kill switch.

Anybody wanna have a quess at what the black tube is for?!?

Looking good. Just a guess - but does the tube attach to a air pump to pressurize the fuel tank?

Is that one of those mandatory breathalyzer tests to turn on the ignition because you drink too much? :)

  10. Oh yea... it's not a removal tool because it does not go into the "star" part... it is a pressure port... it even has barbs on it so you can hook a hose to it.

Although it looks like a willie hanging there...

I don't think Henry Ford was into espresso--he liked his coffee like his cars....Black.
