Hope to see you there! Actually "NO boysters" was meant to say "NO Boydsters", implying that ultra high dollar cars made by the likes of Boyd Coddington would be better off displaying in a ultra high dollar show. This show is for traditional hot rods.
Although we appreciate the Low Rider community, the show is primarily focused on traditional Hot Rods and Kustoms. Old Style Low Rider Bombs (like yours) will still feel at home and are welcome. Newer style with huge dubs and modern high power sound systems will not feel at home.
sounds like a cool show. i'll try my best to be there and support, not sure if my car will be there tho.
Fuck my government wont even support our service men, the Australian hot rod scene most certainly not do it. Fuck I gotta get out of this asshole country. A place that looks after vets and scrvicepeople, is there realy such a place?? Doc.
Doc, I am sorry to hear that things are that way down under. I do not think that the U.S. has even close to a perfect record on this count, but I do know that it is no longer politically correct to put down the troops. Just from my point of view (I am not a veteran though), the U.S. has come a long way in appreciation of it's service people since the early seventies. Although the respect for our troops is high, I do not think it always translates to dollars (but it does now more than before). Just in case you fought for Australia (which has always fought side by side with the U.S.), let me be the first one to say thank you!
Thanks mate, nice to get a pat on the back!! Yeah, I fought alongside the US but normally a few hundred miles further foreword than the normal troops. SF all the way! Its at the point over here that when I was still in we were not permitted to wear uniform off base, I still get spat at if I tell people I was in the Army. VA wont pay a cent, took away my pension and medical benefits. Can’t work due to injuries, though I pick up a bit every few weeks at a panel shop. This country sucks. As soon as I can afford it I’m outta here. I loved my country, I put my life on the line many times for it. We have a military history, albeit short it is VERY impressive, something I hope in a small way my buddies and me added to. I wanna get out of here so bad, to the states I guess, Fuck I even fronted the US Prez to receive an award! While the Aussy PM wouldn’t even acknowledge the event that caused it. All they do over here is shit on you. Fuck em, fuck them ALL. Doc.
thanks for putting things like this on. i just got back in december from iraq and i really appreciate it. every time i saw something like this while online when i was there it made the time go by a little easier knowing that i wasn't forgotten. but then again it also sucked because i couldn't go. but mostly good things.
Truck_Rat, Thank you for serving our country, and keeping the bad guys over there. Super fine job!!! I took a look at your profile and saw the Chevy. Looks like she's a little rough, but the Chevy still looks in far better condition than how you guys are leaving the terrorists! Please come home and finish the Chevy! My prayers are with you and the other fine service men and women protecting our country. May God bless you!
Uhhh...didn't mean to mislead anyone but: I am not the one to put this whole show on. I will let the correct person (Bob from the Aces of SoCal) know you feel that way. I am just helping out my friend Bob by posting it here and in the Calender (tab located above).
Nice show. I was in Santa Ana and I managed to drop by. I took some pics, so Lord willing, later later today I will post up the shots that I took.
