Pretty sure what I have here is a 33-36 Axle Assembly. I've looked at what I could find online and I'm still not positive if it's a 32 heavy or the 33-36 setup? Any help would be appreciated.
It’s a 1935 front end. It has spring ahead of axle and mechanicals. Because it doesn’t have wide fives tells it’s a 35 as well. The axle will go 33-36.
It’s a 35 ,,,the axle has the longer distance between the king pin and perch bolt ,,axle will work for Model A onwards,,
Looks like it has 42 to 48 square back spindles. Someone might have put this together with spare parts.
The big giveaway is the smaller span between the king pin yokes with the thrust bearing on top of the spindle.
Thanks, I never knew that as I've only dealt with hot rod stuff and not original. I learned something today!
Bingo, and the wishbone on the ends for the spring shackles tells you its 35-36 and the drums are says 35.
Anyone have a new / like new pair of cast headers for a Flathead in a 1938 Ford Coupe, original steering? I'd be willing to trade this front end set-up for them. I wouldn't want to ship this front end so pick up only. Southern WI.
Its a '35 as noted by several.Measure the axle boss at the wishbone.'37 and later are 2 1/4".'32-'36 are 2".
