Found the forum with a little help from our Outstanding members. This is a sewing table I created for my wife's quilting. She Loves it! We will be doing a bench seat for the A shortly (I Hope)! IMG_1896.JPG

If you are willing to make the drive to Louisville Ky, I have an older Phaff 545 that was used for auto upholstery. Bought it a long time ago from a guy going thru a divorce. Planned to learn how to use it but never got around to it, so its old but not used up. I've had it for about twenty years, so its still in excellent running condition with virtually no use. It comes with a table, some thread and a factory manual that explains how to operate the machine. Its not cheap, but in the long run its a better buy than one thats going to frustrate you and ruin material.....and it will always be worth more to a knowledgeable upholsterer. I'd like to get a $1000 for it, but if you make the drive from Missouri, I'll take $800.
The $800 is firm. So if you want a good quality machine, Phaff is well known. It has a walking foot, is already mounted on an upholstery table, and is ready to go. No motors to switch, no worn out parts to replace, just plug it in and start sewing. Phaff was as well known as Singer but quality is expensive. It also has the knee control. If you reread your thread you will see that everyone who mentioned a Phaff had good things to say about it.
