Here are some pictures of one I sold a few years ago. I always thought the ports were kind of small. I see one every couple of years, of course I live in Los Angeles where ANSEN was located. There is one that used to show up at LARS frequently. Charlie Stephens
So what sort of money is a reconditioned one with injection, original roller rockers and tappet cover worth??
Larry’s set up went for $1400 It was the complete head, valve cover, header and an intake that looked like it was for multiple side drafts. However it was not reconditioned I’ve seen hillborn injection for these motors - stock head?- with pump on eBay for $600
Gary, I have a running 153 from a '63 Chevy II- it is on the back burner, but will go into a RPU project at some point. Larry had the Ansen set when he was healthy (and we were talking alot about his TF pickup, Franke) and he bounced around the idea of selling it, but I wish I had it more as a connection to him- I really miss Larry. What Chevy II parts do you have?
Not much - just rotating parts that i have kept as spares for my 2 engines that i am using. I was just interested to see what you were needing.
I had 1 I sold about a year ago, when i was researching it i heard they made 50 heads. No actual paper work to confirm that. Sent from my SM-G965U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks for the updates - does anyone know how ANSEN came up with the head moulds etc. Please let me know of your memories on this.
